Time Off from our Mission two days this week to make a trip to Wenatchee to prune the cherry trees on the homestead...Perfect timing with the temple being closed for two weeks & it being Marnie's 43rd Birthday. We spent Friday & Saturday at home. Dad did some heavy pruning & we are so Thankful for Marnie, Preston & Austin taking their time this morning to pick up the prunings & help haul everything to the burn pile. What a Blessing to have their help. It took us a few hours with their help & if dad & I would have been doing it by ourselves we would have spent days if not weeks. So grateful for their help so we could get back to our Mission here in the Tri-Cities. We are grateful too for a Mission President who gives us that time to make those trips home. The Temple is closed for the next two weeks & we will be going again to Wenatchee this next weekend because the irrigation district is turning the irrigation water on & there is preparation to care for the pipes before we start watering the cherry orchard. As we left town, we all stopped at McGlinn's for lunch to celebrate Marnie's Birthday. She ate a wonderful salad, Dad & I had Thai Chicken Pizza, Preston had a turkey sandwich & homemade potatoe chips, and Austin had the best hamburger I have ever seen. For a Birthday treat McGlinn's gave Marnie a nice yummy chocolate sundae with a candle burning on top. We got alot accomplished in such a short time! It was amazing & the weather cooperated~in the 50's to the 60's~70's here in Kennewick while we were gone!! Happy Birthday Marnie! We Love YOU!!
